Partner Pick: Magic Hugs-Saturday Hike

  • Share

Take a look at any accurate calendar and you’ll notice that today is Friday. And over here at Above Average, that means it’s Partner Pick day.

Magic Hugs is a California based funny-team and part of the Above Average Network. Their video “Saturday Hike” begs the question, “Does anyone really know anyone?” And also, “How many bones is too many bones?” Unfortunately, we’ll never know the answer to either of those questions.

Paulilu Mixtape: MTV Europe’s “Hey Guys!” with Sophia Bush

  • Share

There’s so much to love about Europe. Above Average knows it (we’re worldly). Sophia Bush knows it (listen to her new hit single). But Yeuvejegenja Yevjskaiya embodies it.

Watch this video several times and try not to fall in love with Yeuvejegenja Yevjskaiya. She’s effervescent, sharp, and foreign which means she’s sexy.

Rejected Pitches: Pulp Fiction

  • Share

If only Quentin Tarantino would have listened to the Rejected Pitches team, the meandering Pulp Fiction would never have been made and instead Honey Bunny’s Funny Sunday would have taken home the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Now that sounds like a movie I’d go see!

Have any ideas for Honey Bunny’s Funny Sunday? Leave them in the comments below!

BREAKING NEWS: Prom Sucked.

  • Share

Here’s what we remember from prom night:

  •  Consuming two (2) wine coolers
  •  Grinding to K-Ci & Jojo “All My Life” (Close to me you’re like my sister? Close to me you’re like my brother?)
  •  Getting ditched subsequently after grinding to aforementioned jam
  •  Countless broken dreams.

What we’re trying to say is the best part of the night was probably taking the photo. Luckily, Stu and Brad are all about making the magic happen at Portrait STUdio.

Check out the premiere of our newest series with Simply Unemployable. You’ll watch for the black turtlenecks. You’ll stay because the “Portrait STUdio” song is stuck in your head.

OH and if you tweet your prom photos to @AboveAv, we’ll make you internet famous.

Belle & Bernice – Livin’ in the City : Test My Phone

  • Share

(This post should be read in a French accent)

There is beauty in Bernice’s desperation. She is a delicate flower, mistreated by her former lover and place of work. Although deeply wounded, she appears brave, brazen. Searching solace in her cellphone, she comes up short. She desires love, denying the possibility that perhaps she abandoned it all for a shot at glory in the big apple.

And sweet Belle. What is she to do? Her sisterly obligations remain intact although are incessantly tested. She is sweet…perhaps too sweet.

Is there not a bit of Belle AND Bernice inside of us all?

Rejected Pitches : Home Alone

John Hughes is routinely praised for his films accurately depicting middle-class adolescence in America’s suburbs. He had a unique gift writing dialog that captured the speech of our nation’s high-schoolers.

Too bad he doesn’t know squat about violence! Kevin would have dead been so fast! Bang! Shot in the head! Bad guys win! Cute kid loses! That’s it! Credits please!

But don’t listen to me. Watch the Rejected Pitches team give John the business.
