Anthony Bourdain has announced the opening of his punk rock food market on Pier 57 of the Hudson River, in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan. The rebel chef says that people “want heat and funk and chicken wings that set their hair on fire.”  Full of food stalls, vendors and bars, Bourdain has compared his street-food centric market to “an Asian night market. Eating and drinking at midnight.” Whoa!! Midnight?? Given Bourdain’s bad-boy reputation in the culinary world, there’s no doubt that Bourdain Market will be breaking rules and rocking worlds…inside a 155,000 square foot tourist-friendly pier with a $3 million lease and a $60 million renovation. Here’s a sneak peek at the menu – read it if you have the balls, man.
