I’m always down to support an important cause, so when my buddy Eric challenged me to the 22 pushup challenge, I immediately said, “Sure, what is that?” He explained that you do 22 pushups for 22 days, to raise awareness for the 22 veterans a day who take their own lives. So I was all set up record it this afternoon, and what do you know, my phone straight up died. And now I’m like, what’s the point?
Look, I totally care about veterans. What kind of monster would I be if I didn’t? But I had an hour blocked out between work and my nap to get this done, and now I have to wait until my phone juices up. In the time it takes to recharge, I’ll probably be over it. I can only do so much!
I’m not even totally sure where my charger is. I mean it’s probably in my backpack, but I can’t say for sure. Also, 22 pushups is a lot of pushups. I’m not sure how that helps veterans who, again, are heroes for serving our country.
Ugh, this is the ice bucket challenge all over again.
