Today, TLC announced that “after careful consideration,” 19 Kids And Counting, a reality show about the Duggar family, “will no longer appear on the air.”  The announcement came fifty-six days after Josh Duggar, the family’s eldest son, admitted to molesting some of his sisters a decade ago.  Fifty-six days seems like a long time to decide whether or not to remove a show starring a child molester from your network, but it turns out there was a really good reason.
