At a Town Hall on Wednesday, Donald Trump told Fox News that he endorsed stop-and-frisk as a means of crime prevention. Though it had previously been employed in New York City, the unpopular practice was deemed unconstitutional by a federal judge in 2013 as a form of racial profiling. Trump, however, did not seem to think it was a problem.
“Stop-and-frisk really is an excellent way to stop crime,” argued Trump. “I’ll show you. Ivanka, come out here!” Ivanka Trump then entered hesitantly, standing next to her father.
“Look, it’s very simple. I’ll demonstrate on my beautiful daughter here.” Trump then proceeded to give Ivanka a thorough pat down as a horrified crowd looked on.
“I don’t know why everyone is so offended by this,” Trump explained, lingering on Ivanka’s waist. “It’s actually quite pleasant.” A visibly uncomfortable Ivanka forced a tight-lipped smile.
“Well, I don’t think she’s got any weapons on her,” Trump quipped. “Not that she could fit any in that very flattering dress!” Ivanka laughed politely, released herself from the grip of her father’s tiny hands, and scurried offstage.
“Give it up for my daughter folks, isn’t she wonderful?”
