Hey, women, can I ask you something? I don’t mean to be rude, but I’ve noticed that you seem to have a tendency to be attracted to the guys who are…well, I guess there’s no other way to put it: loud assholes. And I just think that’s a shame because there are lots of available guys out there like me, who are quiet assholes.
How about switching it up every once in a while? Wouldn’t it be great to take a break from getting yelled at by all those obnoxious jerks you date, and instead get belittled by some passive-aggressive jerks like me?
I think that would be a nice change of pace, but that’s just me.
You might be surprised to learn that shy, quiet assholes have our own ways of being just as emotionally abusive as the loud assholes.
I feel like the problem is actually simple: the loud assholes are the ones who get noticed. They’re outgoing, they’re confident, and they stand out. And women flock to them, walking right past the shy guy standing in the corner, who is just as capable of being emotionally abusive but in a different, more subtle way.
Look, I get that life isn’t fair. I know that I’ll never get as many chances to disappoint and frustrate women as some cocky, brash guy who walks into a room and immediately commands attention. But I know that I can do a lot with the chances I’m given.
So, come on, ladies. Give the quiet assholes a chance. We’re just as bad as everyone else, if not worse.
